A Juggler’s Tale is a unique 3D game where you play a puppet girl attached to various strings that often hold her back.
In this beautifully-narrated game, you find yourself following the story of a little girl who’s been forced into the circus. Moving forward as a puppet on a pretty linear path, you’ll need to move boxes, jump over places, throw apples, and explore.
Eventually, when you’re done working at the circus, it becomes time to go back home. Your home is a cage, however, and you are sick of your life here. With the help of your lovely bear friend, you make your escape. An all-knowing narrator is the one voicing this story, talking about your character Abby and her adventure as you work through the dangerous roads that will lead you to freedom.
The puzzles that you take on in A Juggler’s Tale are primarily physics-based and very clever. From trying to throw apples around to knock stuff in your environment over, to finding a way through small gaps despite the strings hanging from above, it all comes together in clever ways.
The story within the game is also very impressive, creating a striking and well-written game. I only got the chance to take on the demo at AdventureX, but I am looking forward to the game’s full release. Everything I’ve seen so far is well-crafted and interesting!
A Juggler’s Tale is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can find out more on the game’s site.
