Alchemic Cuties is an adorable RPG game where you are able to tame wild jellies with the power of song.
You are an adventurer who lives on Wimba Island, a place full of color, wildlife, and jelly blobs. As you make your way around this island, you can pick flowers, grab fruit, and collect anything dotted along the ground. These various items can be used for alchemy and crafting to make more items and foods.
The main feature of Alchemic Cuties is the slimes. There are tons and tons of slimes of various types around the world. Each one has their own traits and stats, so you can pick up whatever kind you’d like. You are able to play music to them, making them dance, and once they start dancing, you can capture them with a balloon, taking them back to your farm. At your farm, you can care for your jellies, giving them different foods, playing music for them, and petting them so that they are happy. You can even breed your jellies to make more of the ones that you really love.
Your jellies won’t only be at your farm – you can also use them in various mini-games around the town, finding the best jellie for each job. At the demo I played at EGX 2018, I got to enter my slime friend into a swimming contest, cheering as they made their way through the water.
The world of Wimba Island is full of non-jelly characters that you can also talk to, and these characters are pretty entertaining themselves. All of them seem to be going about their own lives or interacting with others in pretty funny ways.
Alchemic Cuties is a relaxing and lovely game. I can’t wait to play the full version.
Alchemic Cuties is aiming for release in 2019, but you can wishlist the game on Steam and check out their website where you can sign up to a newsletter for further updates.
