In the procedurally-generated labyrinth of Below, you will encounter dangerous foes and perilous traps. Even with all this danger, you’ll find yourself wanting to crawl into the deepest level to find out what lies at the bottom of The Depths.
Players will assume the role of an explorer with limited combat skills. You’ll need more than just brawn to get through the trials ahead. There will be no clues, no help, and perma-death for the unwary.
The design of these maps is astounding, as you will find out for yourself as you take in how miniscule your character looks when compared to the dauntingly-large and ill-lit area around you. Still, the bravest will push through and fight against anything in their path to satiate their curiosity.
You’ll want to pay close attention to your environment in Below. Checking into everything (that won’t kill you) will help you because you may stumble upon some helpful fauna you can use to craft some healing remedies or tools. Any small aid is welcome in the journey ahead. You may also find that the environment can be used against the creatures that live in the shadows. Strike a crystal and light may scare off those terrors, but the light will not shine indefinitely. Use these tricks to your advantage and you’ll be a master of the depths in no time.
With secret areas, hidden passages, and an expansive map to traverse, players will want to dive back into the unforgiving Depths again and again to explore every inch of the ominous and beautiful realm.
Below is available for $24.99 on Steam and Xbox One.
i loved how i supposed the game to be,i was…partially wrong, some features take aways some part of the exploration and is a shame considering HOW TRULY BEAUTIFULL is designed.
also i feel like they had to rush to complete the game in the end as it feels a little bit too much short compared to what it could really be,according to this is the ending of the game and the complete lack of anything that justify a second run.
i don’t know,
it seems like something that could be really EPIC and touched barely the surface,of what really could be…below.
