In Collage, you find yourself tasked with fixing broke items even though it’s not actually what you’re supposed to be doing for a living.
After fixing this one broken item, using glue to put together the pieces and a paintbrush to fix the design, you get a rating from the person you helped. They want the glue lines to be crisp and the drawing to be well done, so you will need to take the time to do things correctly if you want to get a decent score from them.
Doing this well draws a lot of interest to your shop, growing its reputation. Soon, more people are coming in with broken items that they want altered and changed. You can look at an image sometimes to help you, hold the glue, use a paint brush, but you don’t seem quite happy with your new job. Still, it’s making people more interested in your workplace, so you may as well try your best.
Collage is a game made for the Global Game Jam 2020 where you are just slowly putting items together. It’s a nice way to spend some time if you are looking for a small relaxing game to play, but it’s quite challenging in the way that people reply to you, as many of them just were never happy with me – the shop owner fixing their items despite that not being my job.
If you want to fix some objects without any actual experience in doing so, spend 10 minutes playing this little game.
Collage is playable now on itch.io.
