Damaged In Transit tasks you with instructing a pair of delivery drones, doing your best not to get one destroyed while you pay attention to another.
Some necessary deliveries need to go out on time, but we seem to be low on employees for some reason. No problem! We’ll just wire up the old remote to control two different drones at the same time, and a single worker can make two shipments all by themselves. Great idea. Can’t possibly see anything going wrong with this despite the drones walking two different routes, and those routes are also filled with spikes and saws and flames and all that. Also, this job pays minimum wage.
Your job is to get these two robots to safety while giving them similar instructions. This is done by activating arrows on the paths the drones are walking on. If you set the arrows to down, the robots will go down. Set it to right and they go right. Simple stuff, except for those differing paths they travel. You need to constantly watch both robots to be sure the instructions you give to one won’t send the other into some sort of hazard. This results in some frantic glancing about as you scramble to give the right orders as fast as you can.
Damaged In Transit is a pleasantly chaotic experience on your own, but it also has a co-op mode you can try out if you want to be mad at your friend for failing instead of just yourself. It’s a nice change of pace to have something to direct your frustrations at, right? Just try not to get too mad at the person you’re stuck with these days. No sense raging out over digital freight.
Damaged In Transit is available now on itch.io and Steam.
