Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure takes us back to the town of cussing clowns and pigeon people, but something seems odd about the place.
Delores is on hiatus from her job at MMucasFlem Games, and has decided to take a quick vacation in the town of Thimbleweed Park. As anyone who’s taking a break would do, she picks up more work, agreeing to take pictures for the local newspaper while she’s off. While snapping these photos, though, she soon sees that the events of Thimbleweed Park seem to have been skewed or forgotten. May as well waste your entire vacation trying to figure out that mystery as well.
The game provides a fine excuse to return to the absurd world of Thimbleweed Park, spending some time with familiar folks. As the same time, expect to work to figure out why some of the people have changed (why is the foul-mouthed clown, Ransome, seems to be eligible for a humanitarian award. Nobody seems to remember there was a murder in the previous game, either. Using your camera, you’ll steadily unravel the complicated mystery (and have a good few laughs along the way).
Delores can be played as a standalone if you haven’t played the original game yet, although it’s inarguably enhanced if you do. Overall, you can have a hilarious good time with this small project the developers released to help folks dealing with quarantine. If you’re looking for more laughs when it’s done, you definitely need to look into Thimbleweed Park as well.
Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure is available now on the Epic Games Store and Steam.
