Celeste has set out into the world to prove herself worthy of being a knight in Eternal Radiance, but the bonds she makes along the way are more important.
You’re out to find a single thief (who MIGHT have stolen the thing you were supposed to recover to originally get your knighthood). Doesn’t seem like too big of a job for a squire. Becoming a knight should be easy. Except it isn’t, what with a nasty overarching plot and several other problems you’ll run into. Nothing a future knight shouldn’t be able to handle in some live action combat, right? Stab some evil trees, spin attack a giant scorpion or two, and you should have this whole problem solved pretty quick. Especially if you pick the right powers from your skill tree.
For when it’s not so easy, you’ll have a pair of friends to depend on: Valana and Ruby. This pair will back you up in a fight, which is helpful, but they also provide useful moral support when things start getting difficult. Like when you start to wonder about the whole role of your knightly order in the world. Or when you think that order might be up to its own cruel business. Or if you just want to have a little talk. There’s plenty of optional chats you can have to get to know each other or broaden your understanding of the story, allowing for a lovely story of friendship to be told alongside your dangerous task.
Eternal Radiance mixes live action combat with a story of how your friends can help you through challenging times, if you make time for them. Maybe it’s time you gave you own buddies a call before you accidentally took part in some sinister organization, huh?
Eternal Radiance is available now on Steam Early Access.
