The Second Shadow is a story driven platformer that sees you visiting memories that are only half there.

You are reading stories about a man dealing with dementia – he’s got letters that tell pieces of a story and words under platforms of memories. You follow the story of his life, his family, and his past. This then shows the change in the world around him, reflecting his state of mind. Along with his point of view, there are also a few letters written by his son that talk about problems, dealing with separation, anger, and trials that the family had to endure together.

Your story isn’t a pretty one, and there are currently a lot of pieces missing. You can collect these fragments by grabbing glowing pieces that are all around the world.

At the moment, this version of The Second Shadow is a very short demo, giving you a taste of this world and the mindset of the man that’s exploring his mind. As it turns out, there is always more than meets the eye.
