Always having to scrap with enchanted creatures can be a drag, but sometimes you can make a powerful new friends as you fight through Fae Tactics.
Magical gates used to keep the natural and magical worlds from interacting with each other. That seemed like a pretty good idea, as once the seal on those gates was broken, the two worlds merged in ways that didn’t really work that well, resulting in many dead on either side. Those that survived made homes for themselves as best they could, but tensions are rising among the survivors and trouble is appearing yet again. Time to get tactical, I guess.
You get to guide Peony, a magic user looking to figure out why everyone’s getting along so poorly these days. While on your information-gathering journey, you’ll need to deal with a few irate creatures, doing so through tactical, turn-based fights. These will involve moving you and your party members across grids, using elemental attacks that counteract those of your enemies. Well, that’s what you SHOULD be doing, as they’ll be doing their best to use their elements to stomp you.
Despite all of this fighting in Fae Tactics, there’s friendships to be made among the monsters and fae creatures. A good thumping can still lead to a chance of fae creatures joining you, so maybe all of this tussling is a bit friendlier than it looks? Maybe fae creatures just like to wrestle someone to really get to know them? Who knows? Not I, but I do know that you could use some magical creatures to bolster your ranks and elemental powers, so do try to enter each battle with an open mind. These are potential new friends that you”re punching in the face (tactically).
Fae Tactics is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can add it to your Humble Store and Steam Wishlist.
