Collecting candy isn’t an easy task – especially as a pumpkin-faced witch who’s currently fighting off hordes of zombies.
In Hallowed Candy, an arcade-platformer on one screen, you play as a young witch just hoping to gain a ton of candy before this Halloween season is over. Various zombies are popping up here and there, looking to stop you from getting any of those delicious goodies.
As you move around the various platforms, you are able to blast out magic shots to take down enemies. Some zombies do chase after you, so you will need to be quick in destroying them before there are too many monsters on the screen. Bats also spawn, unaffected by your spells, and fly across the screen trying to knock you down. Candies appear here and there, which you can collect for extra points. Hallowed Candy, much like older arcade games, has you chasing that high score.
If you last long, you will start to get spooky skeleton keys that unlock a very mysterious prize. Though the gameplay itself is simple, the zombies get tougher and much quicker, with far more spawning. If you are after those keys, you’ll need to move quickly to keep up.
