In procedurally-generated action RPG Reynard, you are looking to save your friend Prascilla, and ultimately your town, from invasion!
Monsters are coming from the dungeons, fighting their way to the surface, and it’s up to you to beat them all back down and find your friend along the way.
Reynard mixes elements of action RPGs, tower defense games, and roguelikes. As an adventuring Fox, you are able to explore tons of dungeons, fighting off hordes of enemies along the way.
Inspired by Binding of Isaac, chests with new items are hidden around, giving you the chance to switch weapons or grab potions along the way. There are also foraging tables within dungeons, allowing you to drop items and see if they will combine into something new. Between these different crafting options and items to find, there is a lot to discover and use within the game.
You don’t have a knockback ability as you fight aggressive monsters, but you do have a dash, allowing you to move quickly away from anything that would hurt you. Your dash ability charges through the same power bar as attacking, though, so you’ll need to monitor it wisely. You can also charge up your attacks with this bar, causing a more damaging blow.
Overall, Reynard is a super fun game with daily challenges, a nice story, and some cute visuals.
