GIGABUSTER is kind of what would happen if Mega Man X/Zero were out to topple evil businesses instead of fight against rogue robots.
Liza has to stop some business mergers that are going down, and has no intention of doing it through polite, diplomatic means. When you’re working for a monopoly on ‘happiness,’ folks really shouldn’t have to be nice when they try to stop you, do they? So, Liz is going to stab and shoot their way through nine different companies, flattening their headquarters and making sure their sinister business deals don’t go through.
Liz isn’t messing around about it, either. They can use dashes and wall jumps to hurtle around, also using a grappling hook to keep that momentum going. If there’s trouble on the floor, they can clamber along the ceiling as well, or grind a rail to slip away from danger. This is all just for mobility, as Liz can launch laser beams at foes or cleave them apart with a flaming sword. There’s other weapons you can grab as well, offering many different ways to punish these nasty companies.
GIGABUSTER not only looks like a great take on the Mega Man X/Zero formula, but also a semi-comedic look at some of the darker realities of modern business and the criminal actions that go on in them. Some scary things happen in the world in the name of profit, but at least in this title, you can directly go do something about it.
GIGABUSTER is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.
