Headlines from the Deep sees a diver getting brought to the offices of Coral News, where they’ll have to help get a vital PSA out to the undersea masses.
You find yourself lost at sea, but at least you’re a diver with an air supply. You’re probably going to be all right for a little while. Especially since the fish all seem to feel like you fit in at the news station. This is far nicer than some other fishy encounters have gone. Anyway, the station has an important announcement they need to get out there. It’ll save a lot of sea life from doom if you could help them make it happen. The office is kinda disorganized, though, so you’ll have to run around and help keep everything moving.
What follows is a brief, but absurd jaunt through Coral News. You’ll end up doing errands for the hapless fish staff to get that message out on time. Delivering coffee, getting messages out, and making sure the stars and staff get to the right place on time – you’re going to be pretty busy getting this newscast out there. Thankfully, the silly characters you talk with make these simple tasks a lot more fun to do, if only because you’ll have more excuses to interact with everyone. Just try not to forget that you’re actually stranded down here. You need to decide if you’re all right with that before the broadcast is done.
Headlines from the Deep is a quick little undersea journey that creates a lot of fun out of silly situations. Hanging with this fish cast makes for an enjoyable time, even if you are fetching drinks and doing the work they should be doing. In the end, though, at least you’ll get to feel like a big time news anchor. A slightly fishy one, but still, that’s pretty neat.
