You know when you just want to play your new video game, but for some reason, your parents want you to interact with your relatives? Well, you might be Sean in Sean! Are You Listening?.
Created for the Global Game Jam 2019, Sean! Are You Listening? combines typing and an endless runner to provide a funny experience. Your new game that just arrived today is a dark endless runner where you must jump over animals and coffins to stay alive. If you end up hitting anything on the screen, you will die. Your goal is to get the highest score possible.
This may sound easy, however, your house is full of relatives all wanting your attention. They walk straight in front of the TV displaying your game – cutting off your view. You can sort of move left and right to see around them, but they won’t move until you answer their questions. To answer them, you need to type whatever phrases appear on the side of the screen, all while still managing your game.
Typing games are a genre I really do enjoy – and this typing game, despite not needing to type too much, is a great challenge. Keeping your eyes on your runner while remembering to type away kept my high score quite low! You can take on the challenge yourself and help Sean out.
