Landlord’s Super has you doing construction and repairs in a fictional county, choosing when and how you work (and how sober you want to be when you do it).
You’re a pretty handy person trying to eke out a life during the Thatcher years, going around town fixing up places. You can order your own construction supplies, mix your own cement, lay bricks, build a roof, and take on whatever tasks need doing to bring some of these homes back into livable shape. It’s hard work, but it’s an honest paycheck, right?
I’m not saying you HAVE to do all of that work, though. You’re just as free to wander through all of these abandoned, collapsing houses, taking in the ruins of modern society. If that’s feeling a bit tedious, you can also pull up a chair at the pub and have a talk with the locals and troublemakers. Sounds a lot more entertaining than breaking your back to repair all of these run down places. Also, some days the weather just isn’t conducive to laying bricks, so you;re better off just taking a night to drink anyway. You’re working smarter, honestly.
Landlord’s Super might sound like a straightforward construction simulator, but with its murky English setting and world events that come into play (including some union shenanigans), it offers a deeper look into a historical era alongside its time spent working and avoiding work. Plus, what better way is there to enjoy a drink on the job without risking your livelihood?
Landlord’s Super is available now on Steam Early Access.
