Power Stealers sticks you in the middle of an extremely hostile difference of opinion between two people, and you’ll need all of the mechanical help you can find to make it through.
Narad and Osfrid were colleagues with what you would call “irreconcilable differences.” Like, to the point where Osfrid enlists the help of an alien intelligence to create an army kind of differences. Things are getting ugly, and you would think Narad would jump in and try to make things right. Nope. He sends his gifted apprentices, Laras and Hana, instead. Well, them and a helpful robot. Wouldn’t be right just to send a few teenagers to fix your mess alone, right?
The pair, armed with machine guns, aim to take down Osfrid’s army and the jerk-ish Osfrid itself, but you need to get them there in one piece by blasting anything that gets in your way. Your own firearm might be enough to win, but putting you robot pal to smart use might make things easier. You can pick up a variety of offensive powers for the metal tyke, so experiment with what it can do often when you’re starting out. You’re going to want to figure out what tools work best with your play style quickly.
Power Stealers looks like a fun run ‘n gunner inspired by the classics of its genre, allowing you and a local friend to blast things and settle a disagreement between coworkers in a completely sensible fashion.
Power Stealers is available now on Steam.
