Kid Tripp is a hardcore runner that sees you jumping, destroying, and exploring your way through a mysterious island.
You take on this pixelated adventure as Kid Tripp, running through various intense levels in hopes of making it to the end. Moving forward happens automatically, so you will need to jump over enemies, collect coins, and throw stones at animals that want to trip you up. You have an unlimited amount of stones you can toss at them to get rid of them, or alternatively, you are able to jump on their heads, destroying them or using them as an additional platform.
Each level has its own themes and challenges from lava balls being shot up the screen to minecarts that need to be ridden in to make it further. You will need to keep on your toes and react quickly to whatever comes up. With a variety of different worlds, each with their own theme to explore, Kid Tripp is a lovely little game.
I recently took on Kid Tripp at EGX 2018 – and the game really challenged me. Despite looking like another cute runner, this game is super tough and I found myself playing again and again.
Kid Tripp is currently available for $3.99 on the Nintendo Switch and $0.99 on iOS devices.
