Shinobi no Dokutsu is a test of your ninja abilities, tasking you with getting through a series of lethal hazards as fast as possible to prove how great you are.
You’ve just about attained a high rank as a ninja. Now, all you need to do is get through this spooky cave and you’re all set. You’ve got all the skills to do it: you can cling to walls, run on the ceiling, swing a sword, tuck and roll, ballroom dance in an aggressive manner, and leap several times your height. Shouldn’t be a huge problem for someone with all of those skills. Still, we’ve seen many a ninja fall to an errant bird, so things might not be TOO easy for you.
With all of these powers, you’ll have to skulk past buzzsaw traps, hop over spiked pits, and figure out just where you can safely land in other dangerous areas. Just being able to do it isn’t the focus of the game, though. You want to see how fast you can do it, linking up all of your tricks to work towards the fastest possible clear time. You don’t just want to be a decent ninja, do you? You’re here to be the best.
Shinobi no Dokutsu offers some tense platforming for potential ninja, leaving little room for error if you want to become the fastest ninja in the world. Although being a significantly more ‘alive’ ninja might seem more worthwhile as you dance across endless rows of spikes that mean to leave you impaled.
Shinobi no Dokutsu is available now (for whatever you wish to pay for it) on itch.io.
The Messenger was such a fun game.
Definitely! I love a good ninja game, and they did some super neat stuff with movement.
