Super Navecitas 2 The Scrape is a space shooter with a unique visual style, taking you through a dangerous cardboard galaxy.
Your planet is being attacked. Another group of aliens has been blasting all of your friends to death, but you found an escape pod and made your way off the planet and into outer space. Sadly, this isn’t the last you’ll see of your enemies; backup was rushing towards your planet, and now you are flying against them.
Everything within Super Navecitas 2 The Scrap is made of cardboard, apart from the hand that’s holding your ship, (which seems to be on a popsicle stick). The cardboard, handmade aesthetic is one that I’ve always enjoyed, and this game is no exception. The sound effects, all seeming made by these alien creatures (and remind me of Minion noises) adds a lot to the playful, imagination-filled feel.
The gameplay is challenging. Your ship is automatically shooting, so all you need to do is move your finger across the screen, the ship followings you. As you move your ship, tons of enemy cruisers will be floating down screen and firing at you. These ships are big and take up a lot of room, and running into them or their bullets will drain a lot of your energy.
Energy boosts sometimes appear, as well as new weapons that automatically start working, but some of these pickups come at a cost. Despite needing energy to survive, as it is acting as your health, these levels end when the time runs out. Grabbing clocks that refill your energy drains time from the clock, so you’ll need to be careful about what you pick up.
I found Super Navecitas 2 The Scrape to be a super challenging game, dying several times at each level before finally making it through. I found you need to dodge more than attack so that you can survive the timer. Once you do make it to a new level, if you die, you respawn at the start of the level, so at least there isn’t that big of a loss.
Super Navecitas 2 The Scrape is available now on Android and iOS. It is slated to release on Steam soon.

Bravo ZYX Studio!
Fantastic Shmup version of Yoshi’s Crafted World and LittleBigPlanet.
It’s good that Super Navecitas 2 also poses some real challenge where it’s not about 100% completing the levels.
I love how the elements appear drawn and cut out card boards.
The sound effects feels like they’re beat-boxed.
Very clever!
