A social media influencer is dead, and you’ve got their phone. Time for a bit of snooping to see which of three suspects did the dirty deed. To do this, you’ll have to poke around their followers, online social circle, photos, and other private things on their phone. Maybe a little hacking will be in order. Doing so should give you enough clues about the influencer’s past that you can get an idea of who might want them dead and how they’d have done it.
Choice matters a great deal as you figure out what threads to pick at (and what information even constitutes a thread). The story will branch at multiple points depending on how your investigation is going, leading to some disturbing information about the various characters that you come into contact with while investigating. This is your search through the clues, so are you clever enough of a detective to see this through, or will your story lead to a dead end?
Also, something about this case seems to go a bit beyond the ordinary horrors of a murder. The way some photos have glitched out, or some apps act in very odd ways, hints that your opponent might not be what you expect. This pushes a chilling story into even more frightening territory, making for a compelling detective story that will firmly keep your attention as you figure out who, or what, is responsible.
