Super Ness is an adorable little game where you play as the loch ness monster, just trying to help boats that are heading straight towards various problems in the ocean!
In Super Ness, it seems like the entire ocean is a small stream between two points. You, as the loch ness monster, have decided to help all of the boats looking to pass from one side of the screen to the other. To do this, you must use your somewhat flat head to carry ships over big icebergs or other dangers. You can also pull smaller dangers – like crates or bombs – into the water and hold them under until the boats have successfully passed overhead.
Your head may be flat, but it’s not very big. Pulling objects underwater often is a bit cumbersome, as the objects float back up. Carrying boats on your head, especially large boats, becomes a balancing act as you quickly move them away from the danger. Boats that fall from too far, go too deep underwater, or hit anything will sink, forcing you to lose a life. Boats can even go under from hitting each other – something they do often.
Super Ness is a really fun little arcade game. The way the monster moves is just so adorable, with a neck that seems to extend to whatever height you want. This monster seems to be kind and caring, as they help all of the boats in an attempt to keep the sea clean and safe.
