Test Tube Titans will have you growing your own colossal monsters in a lab, then guiding them as they wreck havoc in some very breakable cities.
The developer of Jettomero is once again exploring the life of giant beings, but this time you’re supposed to enjoy your destructive abilities rather than try to keep everyone safe from them. You’re not just using a single massive beast, either, as you’ll be creating a specific monster in a lab before you head out to stomp on buildings. These monsters are made up of an array of potential body parts that get procedurally cobbled together to make up your own special town-crusher.
As each limb is unique, you can control them all individually, resulting in the kind of quirky physics-based play that results in a lot of laughs (even if you are laying waste to someone’s neighborhood). Not that you won’t be challenged, as you need to flail those limbs well enough to shake off law enforcement and eat people, keeping your strength up. Wouldn’t want to go hungry or get captured before you can cause a ton of damage to the city, right? Besides, if you do well, you can unlock upgrades for your lab that will let you create even stronger monsters.
Test Tube Titans offers several towns to demolish, as well as local co-op modes in case one monster just wasn’t enough. If your buddy steals one of your potential meals, you can also fight them in a four-player throwdown to see which monster is the strongest. All of which sounds like a really good time for anyone who’s dreamed of life as Godzilla.
Test Tube Titans is available now on Steam.
