THEM’S FIGHTIN’ HERDS may have a roster filled with cute creatures, but those charming animals are still will to throw down hard.
Ponies, unicorns, cows, lambs, and dragons are all out to find a magical key to save the world of Fœnum from nasty predators. Rather than work together, they’ll instead see who’s the strongest on the way to collecting that key, with each of the game’s varied animal combatants beating the stuffing out of each other along their journey. Given that each fighter has their own physical and magical attacks, they all have something unique to offer as you choose which fighter you want to take to the top.
Maybe you just want to beat up strangers and friends with your magical unicorn pal, though. The game offers online and local matches for you to clobber charming animals in. Also, with a four-button control scheme, figuring out HOW to beat them up shouldn’t take terribly long. You can hop into the game’s training modes if you want to learn your character in a relatively calm environment, too.
One super sharp addition to THEM’S FIGHTIN’ HERDS is that players can wander a Pixel Lobby as they wait for matches, interacting with other players using a custom avatar. You can even hop into a kind of dungeon crawler within the Pixel Lobby through the Salt Mines, battling predators and one another along the way. So, don’t expect to be bored waiting for a fight as you work to bring your llama heroes to the top.
THEM’S FIGHTIN’ HERDS is available now on the Humble Store and Steam.
