You get split up into two sides, with Ghost players able to type out messages in the chat and Investigators being able to talk out loud as they piece together clues. Not all of the Investigators will have access to the same information, so that conversation is vital to putting this scary story together.
Meanwhile, the Ghosts aren’t just sharing gruesome (or ridiculous) terror tales in the chat. They’re also able to open up new routes and rooms, steadily turning the haunted house into a labyrinth of disorienting hallways. In doing so, and in creating a spooky log of things happening around the Investigators, you end up with some unique ghost stories and intriguing tales of monsters and doom. Or something absolutely absurd. It depends on your Ghosts and Investigators, really. If you’ve ever played D&D with people, you know how these things can get a bit…silly at times.
