A witch has appeared on Woolley Mountain and has started kidnapping children! This sounds like a job for…audio scientists?
You and your audio scientist friends, on a submarine in the middle of the ocean, need to make your way there in order to save the kids in The Mystery Of Woolley Mountain.
In The Mystery of Woolley Mountain, you play as Garland, a scientist who is currently residing on a submarine with various other scientists. You need to set course back to land, but getting the others to agree provides quite the challenge. Each of these other characters are completely consumed in their own goals and activities: drinking moonshines, doing experiments, and generally ignoring you.
Much like most point and click adventure games, you must search around, picking up items that could be helpful in your inventory. You must then try to use them to help get the scientists into the control room to tell them what’s going on. Sometimes, you might end up finding objects that can create other objects – but their purpose might not be clear until later. The game also has many little hidden secrets – a breakout game within it, a sound track you can play around with, and more if you look around enough.
The Mystery Of Woolley Mountain is a very humourous game – with full voice acting adding to the level of polish the game has. All of the scientists and other characters within the game have very unique personalities and traits, which you will get to know along the way. Assuming you can get their minds off of their work for a minute, that is.
