There are many, many city builders out there, but have you considered an ANTI-CITY BUILDER? Well, Unnatural Disaster is exactly that, and it’s so fun!
I got to take a look at the game during the Big Indie Pitch Digital event, finding an entertaining city-destroying title. Instead of building up a big city and trying to organize everything within your own town, you are able to wield the power of nature in this game. You want to destroy everything that humanity is creating. The city builds on its own, growing on a small gird of land as it ruins the beautiful Earth below it. And we’re not tolerating that, are we?
With a bunch of different disasters like tornadoes, earthquakes, thunder storms, and more, you are able to try to destroy whatever the little humans are building. You do have a guide on when the city will be too big for you to collapse, so you must keep it below this line. Hopefully, you can even bring it below the green line, which means it’s no longer even a city.
The city in Unnatural Disaster does start building in a way that makes it more challenging for nature to play a role in its destruction, but you can be more cunning in placement to combat this. Trying to balance the use of your different disasters – and where exactly to place them – becomes the game. Just be sure not to take too long to think, as humans seem to build quite quickly.
Unnatural Disaster is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can check out the developer’s website for updates.
